Mena came to the baltimore city animal shelter with a traumatic leg injury. While in obvious pain she responded to everyone around her with purrs and snuggles. A dwindling fund for injured animals was used to save her life. Her leg was amputated and within less than a week she was jumping up on her favorite chair in the office of the animal shelter's director.

Mena is an amazing cat. She is just a juvenile at about a year old and lives to be loved. She will follow you everywhere and greet you at the door when you come home. She'll rub her head on your hand and shamelessly beg for pets.  Her intense green eyes will melt your heart. Her coat is a soft muted calico and she is just a slip of a girl at only seven pounds.

Mena has been through so much but you would never know it by her innate sweetness and trusting soul. She will be a gift for the lucky person who adopts her.
